Even though there is (still) no solo album of mine to buy, I am very pleased that there are already some recordings of my songs, most of which are also available for purchase.
Lord Landless: Garden of the Lost
Sixteen songs by Silva and me are collected on this CD, which was finally finished in 2006. With beautiful guitar playing, great guest musicians like Crystal, Peredar and Simon Fairbourn, and our polyphonic vocals, the CD – subtitled MediEvil Songs – is still a joy to listen to even after years. My personal highlights are Silva’s »Stormwind« and my »Lily of the Vale« – and of course »Liberty« featuring a sailors’ choir.
On the Filkshop website you can not only listen to the CD, but also order it
Dandelion (or) Wine – Filkcontinental 2007 Song Contest Special
At FilkContinental 2007 there was something that had never happened before in German filk: a song contest. Since Dandelion Wine from Canada were the guests of honour that year, the theme for the competition was »Dandelion (or) Wine». My entry was »Alles Gold der Erde«, with Silva singing the harmonies. To my great delight, my song came second.
The CD, which contains all the songs from the competition, is not commercially available, but was exclusively for participants in FilkContinental 2008.
Schattenweber: Jahresbild
On the first Schattenweber CD, released in 2011, I don’t sing a line and I didn’t play an instrument, but there are three songs by me, beautifully sung as always by Silva and Kjenjo: »Die Quelle«, »Die Flagge des Roten Todes« (both included on the Lord LandlessCD in English) and »Mein Tod«, a musical delicacy.
Add to that a few beautiful songs by Silva and traditional songs – and you have a CD that I can only recommend. You can also order it from the Filkshop
Schattenweber: Bilderspiel
The second Schattenweber CD, which was released in 2015 after a successful crowdfunding campaign, once again contains three of my songs – this time the legendary »Feeräuberlied«, »Totentanz« and »Geistergarten«.
The whole thing is again rounded off with filk and folk from Silva, Kjenjo and company, and I can only warmly recommend the album – it’s a shame that the Schattenweber disbanded before the release of their third CD!
Stone Dragons: Dream of Flying
The first CD by the Stone Dragons, Tom and Sue Jeffers from Canada, was released in 2014. It includes a song of mine, »Daffodil the Highway Fairy«, a fan favourite, sung by Sue. When this song was nominated for a Pegasus Award as »Best Fairytale Song« in 2013, it was Tom and Sue who sang it at the nominee concert at OVFF, which made me really happy.
“Dream of Flying” is also available in the Filkshop.
